Noo-Dynamics Test (Popielski)

A Polish instrument for studying the noetic dimension of personality, developed by Fr. Prof. Kazimierz Popielski (Catholic University of Lublin).

Description

The Noo-Dynamics Test was developed at the Department of Psychotherapy and Health Psychology of the Catholic University of Lublin on the initiative of Fr. Kazimierz Popielski. It measures the noetic (spiritual) dimension of personality - the quality of human existence and its “dynamics”.

What it measures

The test captures the noetic dimension through many scales, including sense of meaning, freedom, responsibility, values, goals, self-transcendence, self-distancing, hope and attitude towards suffering. The result is a person's noo-dynamic profile.

Significance

The instrument allows not only diagnosing crises of meaning but also planning noo-psychoprophylaxis - activities that strengthen a person's spiritual resources.

Note

The test is a psychological instrument - it is administered and interpreted by qualified diagnosticians.
